We’re inviting everyone who joins us at Lamb’s on a journey. We’re headed down a path of life that we believe will help us grow, live an abundant life, and honor God. This is path we’re on as a church – and we invite you to join us for this adventure!

WORSHIP
COLOSSIANS 3:1 MSG: -
“So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.”
Worship is about:
-Calling people to set minds on things above in worship
-It is about invitation to weekend services – our central Body gathering time
-Encountering God’s presence together in all aspects of services: Word, Prayer, Songs, Service
The path begins with Worship – its vertical – its up – its God-centered, Christ centered – it’s about setting our minds on things above… It has to do, in particular, with weekend services – our primary corporate gathering – which is a worship gathering. We want people to come to that. In our weekend worship services we pray together, we hear teaching together that emphasizes applying God’s word in our lives for life-change. In our weekend services we approach God together in worship – worship through song, through meditation on His Word, through our giving, through artistic expressions… and we want people to be a part of that. We aim for gatherings where we can have Psalm 95 type encounters with God – with real, authentic life-changing worship.

CONNECT
EPHESIANS 2:19
19Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household,
ROMANS 12:10
10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Connect is about:
-It is being in a LifeGroup
-It is coming to connecting point events like potlucks, dessert nights
-It is being a part of a Life-Changing Connection Group (LCG) of 3-4 people for accountability
Connecting is about fellowship – it is about relationship with other believers – and in particular – other believers in this Body. This happens in Bible Studies, in Women’s and Men’s ministries, Prayer… in events that we do that are for fellowship – like potlucks and dessert nights. But our LifeGroups are the fundamental building block of connecting.
LifeGroup is:
-A place for fellowship and the primary way to receive personal care at Lamb’s.
-The best way to keep a sense of connectedness to the Body!

SERVE
EPHESIANS 2:10
10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
SERVE is about:
-Modeled and called for by Jesus
-Twice a year ‘Serve Connection Sunday’ – like LifeGroup Fair
-Express serving in the Body as a normative expectation in our Body
-Every member will serve on a ministry team
-The value of serving outside of the Church will be taught and modeled
Serving is part of our path. Jesus modeled a life of discipleship which involved getting in on the action – not just sitting and listening. So we want to get better at getting everyone involved in the action of being the Body. This is a bold move – to say this is a core part of our strategy – but if we are really going to reach this community – it has to be. Murrieta Miles says – okay – I’m coming to worship – I’m starting connect; What is next? What do you want me to do? Serve. Get involved on a serving team. Part of how we’ll do this is by routinely holding a ‘Serve Connection Sunday’ – where we’ll have a Serve-Connection fair Sunday – to give everyone a chance to find a team to serve with. We’re just going to make this a normal part of the life of the Body and communicate it as an expectation, because it is.

INFLUENCE
JOHN 17:18 18
As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. (Acts 1:8, Jn 20:21…)
2 Cor 5:20
20We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
INFLUENCE:
-Use ours to fulfill the mission
-Use ours to reach our friends and neighbors with the gospel
-Use ours to draw people into the life of this Body
-Use ours to express the love of Christ in the world – locally and globally
-Use ours to care for the poor, the prisoner, the sick, the friendless and the needy
Again and again scripture calls us to see that we have influence, and it is to be used to point others to Jesus – to love and lead others to Jesus. This is part of our path at Lamb’s. In the area of influence – we want our people to influence others to make their next step towards Jesus – and we want our people to influence others to experience a life-changing connection with Christ by coming and being a part of the life of this body. We also want to express the love of Christ out in our community and in far away places – to change the world however God leads us – by expressing His great love in practical ways. Sometimes this will be through formal sending of missions teams and carrying out community service projects. Sometimes it will happen at the individual level only as the Holy Spirit directs. But let the love rip!
