What is a lifegroup?
We’re all searching for real community. We all need a place to know people and be known, a way to love others and be loved. We all need a time for learning how to follow Jesus-for studying His Word and worshipping Him with a few other people. We need a way to do life together. CHECK OUT THE CURRENT SCHEDULE HERE! (CLICK)

How do you join a lifegroup at Lamb’s?
Our lifegroups run in trimesters. Three times per year we offer a LifeGroup fair and that’s the best time to sign up. Then, at the end of the 10 weeks, most LifeGroups take a break for a few weeks. Some people continue in the same group, while others take advantage of the opportunity to try a new group or - simply take a break for a trimester. Also, you can call any of the LifeGroup leaders listed in the weekly Sunday bulletin. Just tell them you’d like to join their group and they’ll give you the details. You can also call the church office and we’ll help you find a group that suits your needs.

Lifegroup basics
LifeGroups are just what that’s for. Our goal is for everyone at Lamb’s to be part of a LifeGroup-a group of 10-12 people who share life together. Lifegroups meet once a week, generally in the host’s home. Nothing can replace the life-giving, authentic relationships that grow in a LifeGroup!
Jesus prayed that His followers would be known for how they love each other. In LifeGroups, we emphasize the building of caring, loving friendships. We encourage openness, honesty, authenticity and fun! Each group works out it’s own way of meeting together in a life-giving way so that every person is loved, cared for and blessed! Some Life-Groups are Bible-Study based, others are oriented around discussion of the sermon topic.

Lifegroup life cycle
LifeGroups at Lamb’s are intended to last about 10 weeks. During this time, the Leader will select one person or a couple to train as future LifeGroups leaders. After the 10 week period, the group prepares to birth a new group. The apprentice leaders prepare to launch a new group by taking a couple others from that LifeGroup and by personally recruiting new people. Meanwhile, the original LifeGroup leader invites other new people into his or her group. This way, each group grows. More people are able to exercise their gifts. More people are given a place to be enfolded into the Life of the Body of Christ in a life-giving, healthy way.

God’s plan is for His people to grow in Christ-likeness — and to walk the path with others! At Lamb’s, LifeGroups are our way of connecting in real relationships. In LifeGroups, we find people we can share life with. It’s a small community of 10-15 people who are meeting apart from weekend services to serve, love and care for each other, to pray for each other, and figure out how to apply the truth of God’s Word to life.

Some of our groups are BIG groups, going through a bible book together—Bible in Groups; the majority are DIG groups— Discussion in Groups format; in DIG groups we get the chance to respond together to the weekend message, sharing our heart in response to the teaching and how we can apply it in our lives.
